This was your typical airport restaurant. I stopped over for the loaded fries, and they were great. These were not your standard loaded fries — the cheese sauce was something I have never had but nonetheless I enjoyed it — the cheese does have a small kick to it. Other than that, I had a couple of mules that were perfectly prepared. And I did also end up taking a pretzel to go — nothing fancy other than it was huge it tasted like any other pretzel. A good place for a long layover except there are no plugs should you need that.

Pretty solid spot for an airport restaurant. You can scan a QR code to order right from your table — took about 20 minutes to get the food, which is fine. I had the steak; it was good enough, not amazing, but definitely not bad — flavorful and cooked right. The salad, though, was disappointing and nowhere near what’s advertised. Fries were fine. Seating is comfortable, not crowded, and the place has a chill atmosphere with plenty of big screens to watch sports. Prices are a bit high, but that’s normal for an airport. Overall, if you’ve got a couple of hours to kill and want a decent meal in comfort, it’s worth a try.

Had a 9 hour layover at the airport. Needed somewhere to get a nice lunch and also comfortable. Somewhere where I could spend a couple hours eating a meal slowly. Perfect place, good menu, comfortable seats, nice atmosphere. Ordered a Caesar salad and a 4 cheese pizza, salad was excellent and large, pizza was good. Service after the food was served was slow, took a long time for anyone to refill my drink.

Victory Grille, located conveniently at Newark Airport’s Terminal C, offers travelers a solid spot to rest and refuel during layovers. The ambiance strikes a balance between casual comfort and a lively sports bar, complete with ample seating and big screens to catch the latest games. It’s the kind of place where you can settle in for a couple of hours without feeling rushed—a rare find inside the terminal.

What truly stands out at Victory Grille is their take on classic dishes. Their loaded fries come with a unique cheese sauce that carries a subtle, unexpected kick—a pleasant surprise that elevates what could otherwise be a mundane snack. The steak is cooked well, flavorful and satisfying, though not extraordinary, fitting the bill for airport fare. The four-cheese pizza offers a comforting, hearty option, while the Caesar salad impresses with its generous size and freshness.

Ordering is streamlined thanks to their QR code system, allowing guests to order directly from their seats. Though service speed can lag after the food arrives, the overall dining experience remains relaxed and enjoyable. Cocktails, like their expertly mixed mules, add a refined touch to the menu.

While some dishes like the salad may not always meet expectations perfectly, and pricing leans toward the typical airport premium, Victory Grille still provides a dependable and satisfying meal option. Whether you’re grazing on a giant pretzel to go or indulging in a full meal over several hours, this spot offers a blend of flavor, comfort, and convenience that makes those airport hours a bit more pleasant.
